Hey, my name is Sunday. I was born in Nigeria, then moved to Norway in 2011.

In Norway, I was separated from my family by child protective services for an entire year. I think that experience affected me deeply. After that, I stopped trusting people, especially because it was hard to maintain long-term relationships with all the moving I was doing. My mom always tells me not to hold onto friends because they'll inevitably end.

On January 1st, 2017, my family arrived in Canada, and I've lived here ever since.

*laughs* the backstory is a bit long—I know—but it's worth it.

Okay, so... I'm an artist: a singer, writer, producer, painter, photographer, model, etc. I feel a deep calling toward the arts. My whole life, I've been drawing. As far back as I can remember, I always had a makeshift sketchbook—refurbished notebooks with lines in them. I want to inspire. I want my passion to rub off on others.

On Creativity & Process
I don't really think I have a set art process. I just jump into whatever I'm working on in that moment.

My end goal with all of this is to retire in a world shaped by me: Sunday music, Sunday pictures, Sunday fashion, Sunday comics, Sunday aesthetics, Sunday community. A world that I inspire—but not one entirely in my control. This whole simulation we're experiencing is God. Me, you, and everyone who exists are made from the same source. So I'm just here to light the sparks and watch the fire burn sort of thing.

On Community
The Calgary entertainment and creative community—if I'm being honest—we all need to collaborate more. That's how we grow a community and build a healthy ecosystem among us.

If you want to be a part of the community, then just join. Post your work. Stay committed. Be consistent. Eventually, you'll create your own space within the ecosystem.

I want people to realize that creativity is about materializing your thoughts. The more you create, the better it is for the world, because you're feeding the ecosystem.
